The golden spurge or geel melkbos (Afrikaans) is a multistemmed shrub with a wide distribution area in southern Africa and throughout big parts of Africa. Poisonous to many animals, it is eaten by steenbok and klipspringer, while pollination is shared among many kinds of insect.
This specimen was photographed near Graaff-Reinet.
